Mountainfilm & Jagged Edge will be hosting the Reel Rock Tour at the Sheridan Opera House in Telluride in just a couple weeks. On Friday, September 7th, the folks who brought you most of the climbing world’s best films will be presenting their brand new film, King Lines, starring Chris Sharma. Peter Mortimer of Sender Films and Josh Lowell of Big Up Productions have already won an Emmy award for a short segment of this new film which aired on NBC’s Jeep World of Adventure Sports in December.

These two filmmakers almost never fail to score “Best Climbing Film” awards from Mountainfilm as well as numerous other festivals. Psicobloc, part of Big Up’s Dosage series, premiered at Mountainfilm in 2004, and we have also screened, well, nearly every film from Sender Films, including Return2Sender and First Ascent.

As a bonus, Reel Rock also brings a short teaser of the new film Committed, by the filmmakers of E11, featuring some crazy British trad climbers. We’re excited about the possibility of a special guest coming all the way from Scotland to introduce this film. (E11 had its US premier at Mountainfilm this year, where it won the Charlie Fowler Climbing Film Award.)

More about Chris Sharma (dubbed “Charm-a” by a certain Mountainfilm employee) and the Reel Rock tour in Telluride will be posted next week…
